Sunhawk Academy

Academics

Teenage Alcoholic Drug UserWe believe strongly in the need for dynamic academics that engage students and encourage a love for learning. When a student enrolls at SunHawk, our academic advisors thoroughly review his/her transcript in order to tailor the curriculum directly to the needs of the student. Within one month of arrival, each student takes a series of tests so that we can better understand his/her learning preferences and abilities.

SunHawk's academic program includes:

  • A fully accredited curriculum (Northwest Association of Accredited Schools)
  • A new state-of-the-art computer lab
  • The ability for students to earn a high school diploma
  • Special education services
Students work at their own pace and level in classes that are suited to their needs and abilities. SunHawk's daily schedule allows teens to focus without interruption on therapy and programming during the day, while earning academic credits in the afternoon and evening. Students also receive credits for Physical Education and Humanities courses, as well as credit in Psychology and Life Skills for completing the therapeutic curriculum at SunHawk.
